Instructional Designer / e-Learning Developer
Hi! My name is Beth and I'm an instructional designer! I have spent most of my career embedding creativity, problem solving and exploration for learning into every day of my life. As you explore my portfolio, take note that I have created samples pulled from my life experiences, tapping into my personal and professional aspirations.
Design Process: Collaboration and creativity are at the forefront of my design process. As an instructional designer and e-Learning developer, I bring a unique set of creativity skills with me that translates into visually compelling and interactive learning experiences to capture learners’ attention. Using the ADDIE model for needs analysis and content development, I work with subject matter experts and development teams to write clear and concise learning objectives to create relevant experiences that align with adult learning principles. As a lifelong learner, I am eager to seize opportunities to immerse myself in solving creative problems that communicate complex ideas.
Experience: Telling stories through visual images and design to create an engaging learning experience has been my life’s work. I am proficient in Articulate 360 Storyline, Articulate 360 Rise, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe inDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and Canva. My understanding of pedagogy enables me to present information in an engaging way by tailoring learning experiences to meet diverse needs and designing flexible, inclusive, and effective instructional materials. My experiences as a leader and instructor help me think critically in presenting information and resolving learning challenges. I am confident my experiences and collaboration skills will bring creative solutions to help meet the needs of your business goals.
Interests: In my free time I love to explore the outdoors with my family-hiking, camping, skiing and gardening. You may also find me curled up on the couch with my goldendoodle and a crochet hook, a good book, or a sketchbook.
